RYA Yachtmaster Offshore/Coastal - 5 Days requi. – Our Course 6 Days deli.

Introduction – Overview
- The RYA/MCA Yachtmaster offshore is competent to skipper a sailing yacht on any passage during which the vessel is no more than 150nM away from harbour.
- Your training boat will be ready for you to step on by Saturday 5 p.m. You will be welcomed, meet your crew and get a first introduction, according to accomodation, use and your safety and the week schedule.
- The course starts on Sunday.
Yachtmaster Offshore Syllabus
- This week will not follow a fixed course syllabus. Within this week “Skills and Drills” will be the content in order to fill up existing gaps, gaining confidence and awareness of the requirements for their final goal
- Prep.-Week A is build as a pure Training and Confidence Week
Pre-experience
- Yachtmaster offshore: 50 days, 2500 miles incl. atleast 5 passages over 60nM measured along the rhumb line of the port of departure to the destination, acting as skipper for atleast 2 of these passages and including two who have involved overnight passages. 5 days experience as skipper. At least half this mileage and passages must have been in tidal waters. All qualifying sea time must be within 10 years prior to the exam.
- Candidates must have navigation knowledge to the level up to Yachtmaster shorebased course.

Exam
- There is no examination for Prep. Week A.
